The 50th National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria will be opened with a solemn meeting, at the beginning of which the parliamentary groups will read declarations.
The new 240 MPs from the seven political formations who won a seat in the 50th National Assembly after the June 9 elections will be sworn in.
The first parliamentary bell and the ceremonial session are traditionally opened by the oldest member of parliament. And in this parliament the doyen is the people's representative from "There is such a people" Silvi Kirilov.
In their first meeting, the deputies must elect a chairman of the highest legislative body of the republic. Boiko Borisov's party will propose Raya Nazaryan for the position - a candidacy that will not meet with the support of either Continuing Change-Democratic Bulgaria or the Bulgarian Socialist Party.
After the early parliamentary elections on June 9 of this year, GERB-UDF again remained the first political force with its 68 deputies. The Movement for Rights and Freedoms is in second place with 47, WCC-DB – in third place, with 39 MPs, Vazrazhdane – in fourth place, with 38 MPs, and BSP – in fifth place – with 19 people in the National Assembly. There are 16 such people, and the surprise of this parliament is "Greatness", which managed to get 13 people into the parliament.
In the last two days, GERB-UDF tried to hold talks aimed at charting the way to the formation of a government of shared responsibility. MRF and TSP went to talks in the parliament.
WCC-DB declared themselves as a constructive opposition, "Vazrazhdane" said that they will not support a GERB cabinet with the participation of MRF. The left, which is in a political crisis after the resignation of Kornelia Ninova, said that GERB does not propose a format for a supra-party and expert government, and Velichie - it remains to be seen how it will act. On Tuesday, the smallest party asked for a leadership meeting with Boiko Borisov, rather than participation in the negotiations with the negotiating team, which they were denied. | BGNES
