Bulgaria is going to two-in-one elections on June 9, scandals mar consultations and carataker cabinet proposal

On Tuesday early in the morning, Bulgarian President Radev will sign the caretaker cabinet decree and the two other decrees for early and European elections. On the same day, the change of acceptance and transfer of power should be carried out.

"We are going to a two-in-one election on June 9, I hope there will be a higher turnout", added President Radev, BGNES reported.

The caretaker government PM, selected by President Radev presented the names of the new ministers: 

Lyudmila Petkova for acting deputy prime minister and minister of finance;

Kalin Stoyanov for acting Minister of Internal Affairs.

Violeta Koritarova for regional minister.

Ivaylo Ivanov for Minister of Social Affairs,

The current director of the National Institute of Social Sciences. General Atanas Zapryanov for Defence Minister.

Ivaylo Varbanov Tsenov for Foreign Minister, 

Prof. Galin Tsokov remains the official Minister of Education.

Galya Kondeva for the Minister of Health.

For the Minister of Culture - Nayden Todorov.

Petar Dimitrov for acting minister of environment and water, and now he is a deputy minister. 

Kiril Vatev remains Minister of Agriculture. Georgi Gvozdeikov also remains the Minister of Transport.

Petko Nikolov became acting Minister of Economy and Industry. Rosen Karadimov for Minister of Innovation; he comes from the ranks of the Bulgarian Socialist Party.

Vladimir Malinov became the Minister of Energy, he is currently the head of Bulgartransgaz.

Ministry for e-Government Valentin Mundrov, now deputy minister. Tourism goes to Evtim Miloshev - a TV producer.

Georgi Glushkov became Minister of Sports - the first Bulgarian to play in the NBA.

The announcement of the list of ministers in the caretaker cabinet was marred by confronting statements by almost all political parties. Reacting to the fact that the "minister of internal affairs" retained his position, the chair of We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria Kiril Petkov and his colleagues from WCC-DB left the consultations.

The biggest right-wing party in Bulgaria commented that the last days of the Denkov cabinet expenses should be put under scrutiny. Rumours for overspending public funds were way too worrying, said Temenuzhka Pretkova, a GERB-UDF MP.

The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) representatives approved of the caretaker government list of ministers and said "they can count on our support", commented Jordan Tzonev, an MRF MP.

From "There is Such People" (ITN) political party commented that the caretaker government was obviously "owned by We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria". Toshko Jordanov said that changes in the Bulgarian Constitution invoked by WCC-DB brought about to this situation. 

The Bulgarian Socialist Party said before the consultations even began that they would not participate. Georgi Svilensky made this statement in front of the President's office earlier. /BGNES
