Boyko Borisov for "The Wolf" affair: No one has fought, as much as I

Borisov said that if the tone between the parties remains the same after a month and a half the situation will be the same and they will not be able to talk to each other.

God slows down, but he does not forget, it turns out, so does our judicial system.

This is how GERB leader Boyko Borisov commented to journalists in the National Assembly about the action launched on Wednesday by the prosecutor's office and the anti-corruption commission against Rumen Gaitanski-Valka (a nickname meaning "The Wolf" in Bulgarian - editor's note), BGNES reported.

On Wednesday, the General Directorate Combating Organized Crime, the Prosecutor's Office and the police entered the properties of Rumen Gaitanski-Valka in connection with an illegally used loan from the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB). BGN 150 million was given to a company connected to "The Wolf".

Borisov recalled the "war" he waged as mayor of Sofia with Sergey Stanishev and the "garbage crisis" that occurred:

I remember the Wolf very well. I will never forget when I fought with Stanishev - then as the mayor of Sofia, and Prime Minister Stanishev went out with Gaitanski to wash the streets when I was having crises with the garbage. When they put the buckets away for a night. As much as I have fought, no one has said Borisov.

Regarding the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) and its former director Stoyan Mavrodiev, who falls within the scope of the investigation, the leader of GERB recalled the dismissal of Mavrodiev in 2020 and added: I have never dealt with this bank directly.

They are most likely severe cases. I, whom I should have fired then, fired him, he added when asked why the prosecutor's office is only now acting since the report on the "Gaitanski" case dates back to 2021.

It's good that they took action. Now they should also check Bulgartabac, as Kiril Petkov said this morning, Borisov continued.

According to Boyko Borisov, from the way all political parties are behaving, we can safely talk about the eighth early elections.

No assembly, but let's do something stable, added the GERB leader.

Borisov said that if the tone between the parties remains the same after a month and a half the situation will be the same and they will not be able to talk to each other.

With these insults, nobody will be able to do anything at the moment. As people are, so are politicians. There are 240 parties, he added. | BGNES
