"We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" not to experiment with the trust of the parliamentary group of GERB-SDS. I advise them in the most friendly way. Let them come tomorrow and override the President's veto and accept two more points." This was stated by the leader of GERB, Boyko Borisov, the BGNES correspondent from Burgas reported.
Borisov reminded that there are one or two days left until the elections, everyone is nervous and starts talking nonsense.
"This is a government called "Denkov-Gabriel", and Gabriel is not only a minister, but also a deputy prime minister. All appointments are made by the two of them. I've heard all kinds of talk that there won't be a rotation. Asen Vasilev said that ministers will not be replaced without the consent of "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria". He is absolutely right. Just to remind that "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" ministers can only exist if they are supported by GERB. Either there will be no government, or we have to figure out how to make it work again. I say it in the calmest tone," commented the GERB leader.
He called on "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" to come to tomorrow's meeting of the National Assembly.
"I urge them to come tomorrow and override the veto and fix just these two things - customs and tax warehouses and go and shut down our campaigns. Otherwise, you are taking a risk," Borissov said.
He stated that at the next session of the parliament on Tuesday, GERB may decide not to come, and then the "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" will have to reject the veto together with the deputies from "Revival" and Bulgarian Socialist Party.
Regarding today's appeal by President Rumen Radev about the "Balkan Stream" fees, Borissov emphasized that with the construction of the "Balkan Stream" gas pipeline by his government, Bulgaria has been given the opportunity to earn in the order of 3 billion per year. "If you tell me another enterprise that is 100% state-owned and BGN 3 billion clean. Anyone who built it can brag about it," Borissov said, adding that he welcomed the government's actions. "Back in the day, we built it so we wouldn't be bypassed. We gave the Bulgarian people not only to win, but also to influence the geopolitical events in the Balkans," he added.
Borisov emphasized that tomorrow there is a wonderful opportunity for the two parties - GRBB and "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria", supported by Movement for Rights and Freedoms Party to reject the president's veto. "They themselves said that this is very important for the Recovery Plan, why should we delay it for weeks to adopt it," he added.
Borisov stressed that he treats everyone who works at the Neftokhim refinery, owned by Lukoil, with great respect. “I know that they and their work and this refinery will always be in business. The derogation means the granting of a special status, which was created by the Bulgarian state, in order to work with cheaper fuels. But looking at how the price of gasoline became BGN 4.00 (approx. 2 EUR), I don't see how this derogation benefits the Bulgarian citizens. I have nothing against the workers. On the contrary, we support them and they will have their dignified work. The enterprise in which they work must pay their taxes and the surplus profit must enter the treasury, as it is in Europe, and their parents must receive pensions from this money," explained the GERB leader. /BGNES
