Borisov: Three years of inaction and chaos along our border stopped us from fully fledged Schengen

For three years, not one spoonful of asphalt was laid in the Burgas region. Now thanks to the so-called "non-coalition", - we saw what it was during the caretaker governments, and now for every city and municipality there are funds set aside in next year's Budget.

This was said by the leader of GERB, Boyko Borisov, who was present at the presentation of the projects included in next year's Budget in the Burgas region, reported the BGNES correspondent in the city.

Come March 6th, you'll see what the rotation will be. Bulgaria had a good prime minister in my time, but now it is better to focus on working with the parties and structures. For me, at the moment there is an extremely democratic principle of brutal self-control between all participants in the government, which is good for the state. What I can help both inside and outside the country - the results are visible.

There is a clearly written agreement between Denkov - Gabriel, and Gabriel - Denkov in the rotation.

Under the Agreement we have, there will be an analysis of the performance of each minister, and if there are those who have not done so well and are not making much progress, they will be replaced. But this will be done with an analysis between the leaders and the two prime ministers then. The most important thing is that the Ministry of Planning and Development - and this will be the minister's biggest test - within this week, make the plan and the rules that ensure the projects for the whole year. Thus, the ministry must work at 1000%, now all municipalities will submit projects. And if the minister manages this, he will stay in business.

There are quality people in every party. DPS have long said that they do not want to participate with ministers in this government, said Borisov.

Burgas is already in Schengen by air and sea, people can leave by sea and by air. There were mistakes, but the big problem that stopped us was those few years of border chaos. Every day there were reports, the migrants were fighting with the police, and it was all over the media. This was during the official governments of Rumen Radev, Borisov also commented.

Kalin Stoyanov is doing very well, and in the negotiations with Gabriel and Denkov they helped a lot, Kiril and I helped a lot with what we could. We thank the Austrian business that has invested in Bulgaria, stood firmly behind Bulgaria by writing a letter to the Austrian authorities about Schengen. We only have to show that we reliably guard the border. Our partners in Europe will give us observers to explain together that Bulgaria has fulfilled the criteria. Kalin and Asen Vasilev must work very hard in the coming weeks to make it clear to everyone that we are firmly guarding our borders, Borisov also said.

Regarding the checks in the warehouses of "Lukail", which started yesterday, Borisov commented that he hopes this will lead to a reduction in the price of fuel. The only thing we want is not to serve the interests of Russia, and that this lev, which we pay on top of a liter of gasoline, remains with the Bulgarians, explained the leader of GERB.

The separatists who made the state hate each other are not having any success. As much as we don't like the non-coalition, it got us into Schengen, we have a generous budget for all municipalities, there is a constitutional and justice reform, as well as a green light from the entire European community, added Borisov. But even if they are correct to us, we will fulfill our commitments absolutely; there can be no restrictions for us, and for a neighboring Greece - no.

We thank Borisov and the deputies from Burgas, led by Temenujka Petkova, for the fight to ensure that all projects important to the Burgas region are included in next year's budget, said mayors of various villages and towns in the region./BGNES
