Borisov on Bulgarian parliamentary elections: We need a strong cabinet with strong ministers of defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Bulgaria can win only when we are united.

This is the strength of our Bulgaria. Bulgaria is neither weak nor small. We politicians make her weak with the insults we use.

GERB leader Boyko Borisov stated this in Tutrakan, the BGNES correspondent from the city reported.

Borisov paid tribute to General Ivan Kolev and those who died during the First World War for the liberation of Dobrudja in the "War Tomb 1916" memorial complex.

The leader of GERB emphasized that currently "the world is at war" and recalled that if 5-6 years ago the European Union was talking about economic growth, innovation and infrastructure, today it is talking about defence. "There will be a brand new post of Defense Commissioner in the European Commission. Europe will arm itself en masse in the coming years. Our entire economy will turn 90 degrees toward the defence industry," stressed Borisov.

For this reason, he called for creating "a strong cabinet, in which there is a strong minister of defence, strong ministers of foreign affairs and of the economy".

"The countries in Europe are grouped by production. Tens of thousands of jobs will be created, billions of investments will be made, and it will start by the end of the year, and we will have elections," he said.

Borisov urged us to learn from history: "For the sake of Bulgaria, we politicians are obliged to ensure that there is stability."

He also appealed to his opponents, who are "generals" including President Rumen Radev, Atanas Atanasov and others, to come to this sacred place in Tutrakan, where the Bulgarian heroes rest, and added "let's reconcile in the next 4 years". | BGNES
