Borisov: If Petkov and Peevski decide to form a government, we will be a good opposition

If Petkov (Kiril Petkov, We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria co-chair- editor's note) and Peevski (Delyan Peevski - the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) chair - editor's note) decide to form a government because I will not form a government with MRF alone. We will be a good opposition, I cannot express myself more clearly, said the leader of GERB Boyko Borisov, BGNES reported.

When asked by BGNES how he would comment on Prime Minister Denkov's words that early elections will be held precisely because of Peevski, Borisov said the following: "I don't know how we will talk to these people after that, so I will repeat the chronology. After they went together with Gabriel (Maria Gabriel - editor's note) and Petkov to the president (Rumen Petkov, the incumbent President of Bulgaria - editor's note), a week later, after a meeting in the presidency, Raya Nazaryan showed the agreement we had signed to the media. Then we were negotiating for 4 ministers, there was a dispute from our side. On Thursday evening, I showed an SMS from Asen Vasilev that he is ready on the line, if we don't want to go to the elections, let's meet and talk. That's why I called him. In front of me was their list of ministers, I emphasized thickly that Asen Vassilev remained. I wrote instead of Gadjev Tagarev, instead of Zhecho Stankov - Rumen Radev and told him this is our answer. The answer from them was that they also wanted to remove Kalin Stoyanov, Borisov said. After that, new proposals came from them, Borisov said. In other words, we went to the elections for one minister, he emphasized.

What MRF, what Peevski, as they did not participate in these talks at all, said Borisov. Let Petkov complete everything related to him and Peevski. Tomorrow they will form a coalition like it's nothing, Borisov said.

Regarding Hristo Ivanov, Borisov said that since he wants to go to the EPP, belonging to one of the European families requires you to lead such a policy - "at the moment, the financial liquidity of the state is under threat. Over 2 billion BGN has been spent in the state in the last few days. And if we spend all the money, we lose liquidity, and we may run out of money for pensions. Ivanov has the rare chance, if he wants to be in the centre of the right, to say whether he agrees that public finances should be spent in this way, Borisov pointed out.

Regarding the special operation of the State Agency for National Security (SANS) in the Bulgarian National Customs Agency, Borisov stated that everything in the customs was planned and, according to him, now "the clans are fighting" there. People have been changed massively in the last two weeks. Either they were intimidated by what they had been doing for years, or they were actually told from the outside that smuggling was going on," Borisov believes.

He stated that he was behind the appointment of the deputy chairman of SANS, Petar Petrov, and he is from WCC-DB. "All the appointments in the last two years have been conducted by We Continue the Change," added the GERB leader.

Borisov also stated that during the miners' protest, Denkov "hid behind Peevski".

Regarding the fact that the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs resigned, Borisov said that he always had his support. /BGNES
