Borisov: I am saddened that we deal with petty insults and have no national positions

Again, you see what Parliament is up to, and that is why it is difficult for me to listen even to both of them. I am saddened because we are dealing with such petty insults.

This is what GERB leader Boyko Borisov said to journalists, reported BGNES.

“You know how sad I am. The European Commission issued a report on how the Bulgarian people wasted their time and billions, many billions under the Recovery Plan, from the European funds, unfortunately, are not used by the Bulgarians. And only after May, the government started working on them," said Borisov.

When asked which option he liked better - Rosen Zhelyazkov being the regular prime minister or Raya Nazaryan acting prime minister, he answered: "There is no such option as of today."

The leader of GERB pointed out that there is also a meeting at the highest level in NATO. "Instead of listening to Bulgaria's position, arguing about it, sending the president - because at least in our time, whoever was the president, when I was the prime minister, I went to the European councils, and the supreme commander went to the NATO meetings ", he added.

According to him, we should have already had the position of Bulgaria, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which whoever goes to the USA, should defend it. "Because we were doing our work at the time, the Foreign Ministry prepared the positions, then when President Radev went, or Plevneliev (the former President of Bulgaria - editor's note), he went with a decision of the government. We are now listening to insults, accusations, instead of all saying thank you to ITN (There is Such People political party - editor's note) for unblocking the process so that Hristo Ivanov can leave today," stressed Borisov.

The leader of GERB said that he could not vote against Ivanov and his resignation. "I am saddened because none of the important things that Bulgaria is missing at the moment are not commented on by you. What would have happened and who it would have been - it does not matter at all when we do not have national positions, we do not have a parliament to protect the national interest", concluded Borisov. | BGNES
