Borisov drew the road projects of Sofia in front of Fandakova and Nankov

Explaining that he has already said how GERB will lead the campaign, Borisov predicts that within a year and a half the vision outlined today can be realized.

GERB leader Boyko Borisov outlined Sofia's road projects in front of former mayor Yordanka Fandakova and former regional minister Nikolay Nankov, both now MPs, declaring them the cause of the party's city organization.

Through a live video broadcast on Borisov's Facebook page, the GERB leader presented his vision for the important infrastructure in the capital – the Metropolitan Ring Road. According to him, the current rulers of the city only had conceptual projects and nothing has been done since the time of GERB, reported a BGNES reporter.

"They saw the change. We waited for them for four years "The Change" (We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria coalition - editor's note), to date, there are only conceptual designs", he said and continued:

"While we are building the ring road, everything will work, ambulances and patients for the children's hospital in Knyazevo, which is expected to be built, will pass along this road."

The new vision of GERB and Borisov envisages that the traffic from Pernik to Sofia will be unblocked with a tunnel - almost like "Struma" and an overpass - smaller than the "Brussels" bridge.

"From the OMW gas station, we enter a tunnel that leads to Gorna Banya. As long as it is working, everything else is working - it does not interfere with traffic, it does not interfere with people. When we arrive in Gorna Banya, we expand with three lanes, to the metro station, a slight turn and we reach the Suhodol traffic light. We are not draining the dam as we once thought. We put two columns, the road steps on them and reaches the roundabout on the Lyulin highway," explained Boyko Borisov.

"I want this to be the number one priority for Sofia - for people to know," added the GERB leader.

Borisov admitted that this new idea is more expensive, but does it have a price, he asked.

"Is there a price for working hours and people's nerves, ecology and pollution, bridges and facilities with stopped transport? Imagine what a miracle it would have been," commented Borisov and advised Fandakova and Nankov to look for Mayor Vasil Terziev.

"We will engage with any government," he added on implementation and funding.

Explaining that he has already said how GERB will lead the campaign, Borisov predicts that within a year and a half the vision outlined today can be realized.

"We want this. The others may want an interior minister, a foreign minister, we want to make Sofia the way people like it," said the GERB leader and recalled that in the same way, he drew "Balkan Stream" in front of Jean-Claude Juncker and he hung the sketch in the office. | BGNES
