"And today we give them time to think, that's why we don't bring the item for a cabinet to a vote in the plenary hall. We categorically state that we will not support the second mandate", said GERB leader Boyko Borisov in the parliament, BGNES reported.
"Instead of apologizing, they go even further. We have only proposed a prime minister. They don't want a government", said the leader of GERB.
Borisov also commented on the position of We Continue the Change-Democratiuc Bulgaria (WCC-DB) Maria Gabriel not to be the next prime minister. "Why should I give up on Maria Gabriel? A person insulted her. Asen Vassilev found the right time to desert. He just wants to become the leader of those who don't love us," said Borisov, after which he emphasized that after Vassilev's finances, money from the budget would have to be returned to Bulgaria's Recovery and Resilience Plan funding.
"If he remains finance minister, he has to fix his mess. The IMF says to raise our taxes, not to mention energy, how Vassilev was taking money from the Energy Security Fund", explained Borisov. He was adamant that he would not give support for the second term. /BGNES
