Borislav Mihailov is no longer the president of the Bulgarian Football Union

Borislav Mihailov is no longer the president of the Bulgarian Football Union! Earlier today, Mihail Kasabov was officially registered by the Commercial Register as acting president of Bulgarian football headquarters.

This happened at 2:02 p.m., and Mihailov's name was deleted from the Register. The former goalkeeper of the national team resigned on November 27, 2023. However, after the executive committee meeting on December 6, "Boyana" refused to have Mihailov written off, and Kasabov enrolled. There was also a refusal to register the invitation to an electoral congress. After an appeal in court by Mihailov, the Sofia City Court ordered that the invitation to the congress on March 15 be registered.

However, this decision is not final, as there have been four appeals against the entry of Kasabov, and the opinion of the judges of the Sofia City Court will be extremely important. The members of the Executive Committee - Emil Kostadinov, Rumyan Valkov, Dimitar Georgiev and Yordan Lechkov, who just 45 days ago voted "for" Mikhail Kasabov to succeed Mihailov until the upcoming Congress, are now in a radically opposite position.

There are four judges from the Sofia City Court - Neli Alexieva, Petya Georgieva, Vesela Ofitserska and Nikola Chompalov. /BGNES
