Bulgaria is striving hard to get full access to the Schengen region. Bulgaria has met all of the requirements. This was stated by German Foreign Minister Analena Berbock during a joint news conference with her Bulgarian counterpart Maria Gabriel, according to BGNES.
"As the EU, we must maintain our promise on Bulgaria's admission to Schengen. "Bulgaria's full participation in Schengen must happen quickly," Berbok stated.
According to her, once Bulgaria has met all of the conditions, its residents will be able to freely travel around Europe. "We must not allow our word to be broken," said Germany's top diplomat.
