The abstinence of the authorities, which covered the GERB partners, is the reason for early parliamentary elections. This was stated by the leader of Democrats for a strong Bulgaria, Gen. Atanas Atanasov at a press conference in Plovdiv, BGNES reported.
The lack of will for reforms became the reason for the failure of the negotiations and the rotation. As such reforms gen. Atanasov pointed out those in the field of security and the lack of desire to introduce reforms in the Bulgarian services.
"In practice, GERB and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) have now taken over the official executive power. We have a puppet government of Dimitar Glavchev, which is conducting a targeted personnel purge at the moment with the deployment of reliable personnel in key positions, the aim of which is to provide an umbrella over the buyers of votes on which they rely", said Atanasov and pointed to the change of regional governors as an example. who should have an active role in the upcoming elections. He warned that the return of the so-called Borisov state, which is characterized by a conquered judiciary and security services, subservient media and imitation of fair elections, is being prepared.
According to him, there are 300,000 votes to buy in this election. "The solution is a high voter turnout to minimize the damage from the bought vote," the leader of Democratic Bulgaria also said.
Nikola Minchev, leader of the list for the European elections, said that he is satisfied that they will be together again, because they share the same values and vision for development
state owned. "We are fighting for the establishment of the rule of law and the development of democracy and the raising of standards, both in the field of domestic
politics, as well as through the European institutions'.
According to Gen. Atanasov, however, it is possible to resume negotiations with GERB after the elections, but the negotiations must start from where they stopped before the rotation.
Radan Kanev, who is again on the lists for MEP, said that the priority in the European Parliament will be the preservation and guarantee of security in defense capabilities, as well as the protection of our external borders, including from migrant pressure. "This includes our security against corruption and a breach in our own security and justice system," said Radan Kanev and emphasized that there are intertwined dependencies between organized crime and state institutions in the country.
Nikolay Denkov added that before he sits down at the negotiating table with GERB, they must get rid of Delian Peevski's tutelage, who is "practically their boss at the moment".
After July 9, if a coalition with GERB should be created again, the participants were adamant that Peevski should not be at the negotiating table and the program of WCC-DB should be implemented./BGNES
