As of 11 a.m., the turnout in the elections for the National Assembly was 8.34%, and for the European Parliament 8.49%, said Rositsa Mateva from the Central Election Commission (CEC) at a briefing, BGNES reported.
The lowest turnout was in the 24th electoral district of Sofia - 5.44%. The highest activity is in Montana - 12.57%. The voter turnout for the European elections is just over 8%.
The lowest in relation to the European elections is in the 16th electoral district of Plovdiv city, and the highest is in the 29th electoral district of Haskovo - 11.66%.
Mateva added that voting took place in a total of 12,972 sections in the country and abroad. There are 769 of them outside the country. 12,203 are in our country.
"There are many signals that there are machines and in the case of machine voting, an entire ballot is not printed showing the vote of the citizens," the CEC said.
He added that there are also alerts for newsletters that do not print any content. The CEC has sent instructions to regional and sectional committees outside the country that when the voter's vote cannot be determined from a printed ballot, the voter should be allowed to vote with a paper ballot.
"For this purpose, in all these cases, the sectional election commission draws up discovery protocols, which are then applied to the protocol," Mateva explained. | BGNES
