The Ambassador of Bulgaria to the USA H.E. Georgi Panayotov and the US Ambassador to Bulgaria H.E. Kenneth Merten sent a joint video greeting on the occasion of the New Year 2024, reported BGNES.
The American ambassador wished in Bulgarian: "Happy New Year!"
"The year 2023 is coming to an end and we have a lot to be proud of," said the Bulgarian ambassador in Washington, Georgi Panayotov.
Ambassador Merten added that the celebration of the 120th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United States and Bulgaria showcased our rich shared history and the many ways in which our two countries work together.
"We are developing our cooperation in a number of areas such as security, energy, trade, culture, technology and innovation," added Panayotov.
The American ambassador emphasized that all this aims to improve the lives of citizens. And the Bulgarian noted: "As we prepare to enter the year 2024, we are also preparing to open a new page in our bilateral relations."
"And to begin the next 120 years of friendship between our countries," Ambassador Kenneth Merten continued.
