After the rotation in the Bulgarian Government, current PM  Denkov will be Minister of Education

After the rotation, the current Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov should become Minister of Education and Deputy Prime Minister.

This is recorded in the Program for the Management of the Republic of Bulgaria June 2023 - December 2024, which was signed by both "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (WCC-DB) and GERB, BGNES reports.

"The Management Program of the Republic of Bulgaria (the Management Program) for the period June 2023 - December 2024 is the result of an agreement reached in the coalition - "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" and coalition "GERB-SDS". As a guarantee that this government will work for at least 18 months, GERB-SDS and "We continue the change"-"Democratic Bulgaria" have agreed that the cabinet, supported by the two parliamentary groups, will be led by a prime minister and a deputy prime minister, who will exchange their posts nine months after the vote of the composition of the Council of Ministers in the National Assembly.

In the first period, management was entrusted to Academician Nikolay Denkov, nominated for Prime Minister by "We continue the change"-"Democratic Bulgaria".

During the second nine months, the responsibility for the government will be taken by Mrs. Maria Gabriel - a nomination of GERB-SDS, who is currently the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. After the exchange, Academician Nikolay Denkov will be Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Science," is written on page 4 of the document.

BGNES reported that earlier today in the "loose-fit" (as it is commonly referred to in the public space - editor's note) between WCC-DB and GERB, tension appeared after WCC-DB stated that they wanted the current Prime Minister Denkov to be Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs after the rotation. The leader of GERB, Boyko Borisov, commented that his party will not make any more compromises, and reminded what was recorded in the Management Program, according to which Denkov should be the Minister of Education. /BGNES
