A new generation of breathing apparatus will be delivered to Bulgaria

On Wednesday, the delivery of a new generation of breathing apparatus (respirators) will begin in Bulgaria. They will be received from 105 hospitals in Sofia and throughout the country, and another 47 are intended for emergency care at the Diagnostic and Consultative Centers.

Deliveries will begin in one of the largest hospitals in Sofia - "Tsaritsa Joanna - ISUL" UMBAL, "Alexandrovska Hospital" UMBAL and "N.I. Pirogov" UMBAL.

It is the world's most advanced transportable respirator for emergency medical care. The device does not need settings - it is smart, with an adaptive respiratory ventilation mode, which means that the processor reads and analyzes the patient's respiratory needs and adjusts what gas mixture to supply.

The Ministry of Health has made the public order for a total value of BGN 4,249,920 including VAT for two projects - "Strengthening the capacity of the hospital network to respond to crises" and "Supporting the structures of outpatient medical care and transfusion hematology centers to deal with crises" , financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the operational program "Regions in Growth" (2014 - 2020).

The delivery, installation of the equipment and training of the staff was awarded after a competition to the Bulgarian company Top Hospital Service - a leader in the distribution of medical equipment and consumables. | BGNES
