In the military mausoleum-ossuary of the Central Sofia cemetery, a funeral prayer was held by His Eminence Bishop Polykarp of Belogradchik, reported a BGNES reporter.
On this day, we pay tribute and honor the memory of the Bulgarian military personnel, who died in wars, in peacekeeping operations and in the performance of military duty in peacetime.
Military personnel from the National Guard unit, the Ground Forces, the Air Force and the Navy, the Joint Special Operations Command, the Logistics Support Command, and cadets from the National Military University "Vasil Levski" participate in the rituals in memory of the fallen soldiers. Military personnel will lay wreaths and flowers and pay military honors in memory of the fallen.
The funeral prayer was attended by President Rumen Radev, Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev, Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov, representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, senior officers of the armed forces, and members of military-patriotic unions. /BGNES
