Vucevic in Skopje: The Western Balkans deserve a chance and support from the whole European Union

At the joint press conference after the meeting with North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, he said Serbia strongly supports the "common European path of the Western Balkans".

"We believe in a common European future for the whole region. We believe in a common European destiny and history for the entire Western Balkans region," Vucevic said. He added that he and Mickoski had discussed many topics, with energy dominating the agenda.

Earlier, an official reception was organised for Vucevic in front of the North Macedonian government building - a red carpet was laid, there was a guard of honour and the national anthems of both countries were played.

In Serbia, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of natural gas was signed between the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia and the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources of North Macedonia.

It was also said at the time that the establishment of a Commission for Economic Cooperation is expected, and that Serbia and North Macedonia should also cooperate on an interconnector for energy supply. | BGNES
