European Commission (EC) President Ursula von der Leyen's tour of the Western Balkans continues in Kosovo on 26 October. In the capital Pristina, Von der Leyen will meet with Kosovo's President and Prime Minister - Vjosa Osmani and Albin Kurti.
Kosovo police said traffic in Pristina would be disrupted at short intervals in the areas through which the president's escort would pass, Koha reported.
Law enforcement authorities asked for citizens' understanding regarding the traffic disruptions.
Also, in the vicinity of government sites, there will be diversion of traffic on alternate routes.
On 23 October, Von der Leyen began her tour of the Western Balkan countries. She visited Albania, Bosnia, Serbia and North Macedonia. After Kosovo, the European Commission President will also visit Montenegro.
During the visit, Von der Leyen focused mainly on the reform process, the fight against corruption and organised crime, economic development, regional cooperation and the assistance the EU continues to provide to the countries of the region to make progress in these areas.
The Government of Kosovo expects that the European Union's Growth Plan and the benefits for Kosovo will be discussed during the European Commission President's visit. | BGNES
