Turkish FM Hakan Fidan: There will be no peace in the Middle East without a Palestinian state

There will be no peace in the Middle East until a Palestinian state is established, the Turkish foreign minister has warned.

"Palestinians are being prevented from really having a state... (But) until a Palestinian state is established, no one in this region will have peace," Hakan Fidan said, Anadolu Agency reported.

"Israel is not giving up its habit of seizing Palestinian land. Israel is ravaging Gaza under the pretext of ensuring its own security," Fidan said.

Stating that the brutality in Gaza underscores the failure of the current world order, Fidan stressed that all basic humanitarian values have been trampled in Gaza and that even the delivery of humanitarian aid has been blocked.

"Israel shows no tolerance for the Palestinians. This is confirmed by Israel's efforts to cripple the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, which provides basic services to the Palestinians," he added. | BGNES
