Turkey busts gang defrauding tourists

A gang that earned more than $60 million from scamming tourists has been broken up in Turkey, a number of local media reported.
"As a result of the operation, 20 suspects were detained, 12 of them were arrested. Six vehicles and one motorcycle were seized from them," the report said.
The operation to detain suspected fraudsters has been carried out over the past five months in nine provinces of Turkey.
The gang was running fake advertisements and collecting money from tourists for non-existent bookings. At the same time, hundreds of people suffered from the actions of the scammers. | BGNES
