Turkish Interior Minister Ali Erlikaya has blamed the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) for the terrorist attack on the Turkish defence industry's headquarters near Ankara, AFP reports.
"As soon as it is confirmed who the terrorist group is, it will be announced. But I will say this, we also heard the defense minister's comments. From the very beginning, the way the attack was carried out, the video that we have seen indicates that the PKK carried out the attack. This is our assessment," said Erlikaya, who updated the death toll to five and the wounded to 22.
"I condemn this heinous attack. Our struggle will continue with determination and firmness until the last terrorist is neutralized. May God have mercy on our martyrs. I wish speedy recovery to our injured," the Home Minister said.
Earlier on 23 October, Turkish Interior Minister Yashar Guler also blamed the PKK for the attack, but did not provide evidence.
"Every time we give these PKK crooks the punishment they deserve. But they never come to their senses," Guler said. "We will pursue them until we eliminate the last terrorist." | BGNES
