"Complying with the Prespa Agreement is the only option for a European future for North Macedonia."
This was stated by former Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras during the International Conference on Peace and Sustainable Development in Athens, Kathimerini reported.
Tsipras also commented on the results of the past European elections, in which far-right parties marked an electoral rise throughout the EU.
"Left and centre-left forces in Greece must take bold initiatives "so that the progressive faction can regain the prospect of governing," said the former Greek prime minister.
Referring to the election result, Tsipras said that "the reality, the electoral mathematics, the urgent needs of the society force the political parties of the left and the centre-left in Greece, as well as in Europe, to speak in the plural, not in the singular." |BGNES
