Three dead after small plane crash in Slovenia

As reported by the Sobotainfo portal, there were three people on the plane at the Maribor aviation centre who did not survive the accident. According to the portal's initial information, there should have been four people on the plane, but one of them did not take part in the flight. It is assumed that there were locals from Prekmurje on the plane.

The plane, owned by the Maribor Aviation Centre, had taken off from Maribor airport, where the weather was sunny, towards Prekmurje, where there was dense fog, which is also thought to have contributed to the accident.

The representative of the Maribor Aviation Centre, Vili Kolar, confirmed that it was their plane.

"We saw on the flight plan that the plane took off at 11 a.m. (local time) We were informed of the news by other people, but air traffic control could not confirm it because the plane was outside Maribor's control area," he explained.

According to the first police findings, a smaller plane crashed. The competent services are at the scene and conducting an investigation. The police, the investigating judge, the prosecutor are at the scene and the aviation inspector is also waiting, some media wrote. | BGNES
