The wildfires in Bulgaria are localized, the ones in North Macedonia are not threatening to cross over the border

The wildfires in Slavyanka Mountain, Nedelkovo, Alino and Bobov Dol are localized, the wildfire in the Republic of North Macedonia is not endangering to enter Bulgarian territory.

There is an active fire in the Slavyanka Mountain wildfire, according to the information from this morning, on the Bulgarian side there is no outbreak of the fire and the situation is calm.

Yesterday, on the Greek side, heavy equipment was working in the Slavyanka mountain, clearing a border road, which would limit the development of the wildfire in the western direction. Heavy equipment is also working on our side, which aims to clean the clearing to connect with the one on the Greek side.

For the wildfire on the border with the Republic of North Macedonia, there is no danger of it entering Bulgarian territory. At the moment, preventive actions are being carried out, the border roads on our side are being cleaned with a bulldozer and the coniferous vegetation around them is being removed.

The wildfire in Nedelkovo-Grashtitsa has been contained, and there are employees from the farms of the Southern Regional Development Authority stationed on the periphery, who ensure that it does not re-ignite.

The wildfire was contained in the village of Alino. There are employees of the Samokov Police Station stationed on the periphery and fire trucks. The affected area is 450 decares, of which about 150 decares is forest territory.

The fire near Bobov dol has been contained. Duty teams remain on site. |BGNES
