The wildfire crisis in Bulgaria is under control

There are currently no active wildfires in the country. Extremely large areas have been burned by the fiery element in the past days - thousands of acres of forests, agricultural areas, grasses and bushes.

According to the analysis, the number of fires compared to last year has increased by more than 10%, summarizes the Ministry of Interior.

In the late afternoon on Tuesday, signals were received about renewed two outbreaks - above the village of Strandzha and in the area of ​​204-205 pyramid. 16 firefighters with five fire trucks were immediately dispatched and quickly extinguished the fires. The teams stayed overnight to monitor the situation.

There is no danger of the fire spreading on Greek territory near the Bulgarian-Greek border.
