The speaker of the Macedonian parliament and future technical prime minister, Talat Xhaferi, said that he will resign from his current post on January 25, a BGNES reporter reported.
He pointed out that the technical government will be in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the RSM. The cabinet is expected to be elected on January 28.
Regarding whether the ministers proposed by the Macedonian party VMRO-DPMNE will be in his composition, Xhaferi answered in the affirmative.
"There is no obstacle for them (the ministers from VMRO-DPMNE - note ed.) not to be. That is the law," said the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Jafferi informed that on January 25 he himself and Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski will submit their resignations, after which the framework terms for scheduling a meeting to determine them will run.
On January 26, at a meeting chaired by MP Goran Misovski, the National Assembly will confirm the two resignations and the proposal for the election of a new chairman will be tabled, which will be headed by Jovan Mitrevski from SDSM for the last 100 days.
On January 27, the proposed program and the proposed composition of the government will be submitted, paving the way for the convening of a new session for January 28, at which the technical government will be elected.
According to the Parzino Agreement, the largest opposition party has two ministers in the technical cabinet - of internal affairs and of labor and social policy, and deputy ministers of finance, information society and administration and for agriculture.
The two largest parties of the government coalition - the Social Democratic Union (SDSM) of Dimitar Kovachevski and the Democratic Union for Integration (DSI) of Ali Ahmeti - agreed that the speaker of the parliament Talat Jaferi of the DSI will be succeeded by the deputy of the SDSM Jovan Mitreski. Xhaferi will be the first Macedonian Prime Minister of ethnic Albanian origin in history.
Parliamentary elections will be held on May 8, Wednesday, along with the second round of presidential elections. The first round of the presidential election will take place on Wednesday, April 24. /BGNES
