"I thanked Poland for its continuous, open and unequivocal support on the path of Macedonian European integration and pointed out that Polish experience will be of great benefit to us in the EU integration process."
This is what the President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova wrote on her Facebook profile after meeting with her Polish colleague Andrzej Duda. The conversation took place within the framework of the Ukraine Peace Summit held in Switzerland.
The two presidents discussed issues of bilateral relations and European integration of Skopje.
"The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the excellent cooperation established on the basis of traditional friendship and stated that the two countries share a relationship built over 3 decades of cooperation, mutual respect, trust and understanding. It was pointed out that this year we mark 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, which is proof of a lasting partnership and common values," Siljanovska's office announced.
Siljanovska also said that the North Macedonia remains "unequivocally committed" to the EU integration agenda. She said it was crucial that the European perspective of candidate countries was not blocked by a veto because of "irrational bilateral issues". | BGNES
