Talat Xhaferi is the new Prime Minister of North Macedonia

Today, the Macedonian parliament elected Talat Xhaferi as the country's prime minister. He will lead the technical government of the RSM until the elections on May 8, BGNES reported.
Talat Xhaferi is the country's first prime minister of ethnic Albanian origin.
Jaffery's cabinet was elected with 65 votes in favor and three against. MPs from the opposition VMRO-DPMNE did not participate in the vote. Talat Jafferi's program states that the main goal of the cabinet will be to "organize free, fair and democratic elections on April 24th and May 8th, as well as to continue the pre-accession negotiations with the EU and to accelerate European integration ."
In Xhaferi's cabinet, the first deputy prime minister, according to the agreement between the SDSM and the "Democratic Union for Integration" (DUI), will be Bojan Maricic, who also remains the deputy prime minister for European affairs. Artan Grubi, who until now held the position of First Deputy Prime Minister, will be the Minister of the Political System and will be responsible for relations between the various communities.
VMRO-DPMNE holds the posts in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and additional deputy positions in the Ministries of Finance, Information Society and Administration and Agriculture.
Panche Toshkovski will be technical minister of internal affairs, Gjoko Velkovski will be minister of labor and social policy.
Krenar Loga retains his position as Minister of Justice, Buyar Osmani that of Foreign Affairs, Fatmir Besimi remains Minister of Finance, and Kreshnik Bekteshi of Economy.
Lyupcho Nikolovski will keep his position as Minister of Agriculture, Fatmir Medziti of Health. Jeton Shaqiri also retains his position as Minister of Education, as well as Risto Penov - of local self-government.
Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska will continue to lead the Ministry of Culture, Azir Aliu the Administration, Blagoi Bochvarski remains the Minister of Transport and Communications, and Kaya Shukova the Environment.
Fatmir Bitici will be minister without portfolio responsible for economic affairs. Slavica Gharkovska will be a minister without portfolio responsible for good policies.
The technical government is appointed for a period of 100 days, until the elections are held on May 8, but will continue to work until the election of a new RSM cabinet. /BGNES
