Story of success: Ice cream company in North Macedonia supported by EBRD and EU

Neho is a family-owned company from North Macedonia that has been offering delicious frozen flavors to ice cream lovers for more than 20 years.

The company is just one of many that have received priceless help from the European Union

The Salihasi family founded it in 2000 and since then it has become a renowned manufacturer with a reputation for excellence and creativity, starting out as an ice cream retailer and distributor.

To assist the second largest ice cream company in North Macedonia in achieving its next business milestones, the EBRD offered its assistance. This support is made possible by the European Union through the Western Balkans Enterprise Development and Innovation Facility (WB EDIF).

Although Neho's initial focus was on selling and distributing ice cream, in 2012 the company's management decided to start producing ice cream from 0% to 100% because it was motivated by a desire to expand the business and quality. With this bold decision, Neho entered a new chapter in its history that propelled it forward with a dedication to quality and originality and enabled the enterprise to differentiate itself from its competitors.

Neho's success is largely due to consistent investment in cutting-edge technology that has enabled the company to create over 80 unique ice cream products in a variety of flavours and shapes that delight customers both locally and abroad.

Neho's achievements are well known outside North Macedonia, including in Bulgaria, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and elsewhere, an employee at the company told BGNES.

Neho's global reach is a testament to both its commitment to quality and its ability to meet a wide range of customer needs.

The company aims to establish itself as a trusted supplier of high quality ice cream products to major retail chains in North Macedonia and around the world, surpassing industry standards in terms of supply quality. A focus on quality and staff development, combined with strategic investment, puts the company in a strong position for long-term growth and success. | BGNES
