There will be changes "in doctrine and approaches" to continue the dialogue with Pristina. It will no longer be possible to present Belgrade as a fait accompli.
This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Beta reported.
"We remain open to dialogue, but we will conduct the talks in a different way," Vucic said.
Last year, Serbia and Kosovo adopted the agreement on the normalization of relations at the proposal of the European Union and an annex for its implementation.
It foresees the establishment of a certain level of self-government for the Serbs in Kosovo, that is, the creation of an Association of Municipalities with a Serb majority.
Tensions between Kosovo and Serbia have risen since February 1, when a decree by the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK) took effect, making the euro the only currency for cash payments, banning the use of the Serbian dinar.
The European Union demands that this issue be resolved through "dialogue", while Pristina is adamant that the decree of the Central Bank is not subject to negotiation.
"When someone betrays you once, it happens to good people because they trusted someone's word or signature. When they betray you a second time, you may have trusted or wanted to trust too much. If this continues , you are still a fool. We are not such fools anymore," Vucic said in Belgrade. /BGNES
