Serbian police brutally beat an opposition leader

The leader of the Serbian opposition Republican Party, Nikola Sandulovic, was severely beaten by members of the secret services. The beating took place after Sandulovic was detained for questioning. This was announced by his relatives and his lawyer.

Sandulovic was arrested at his home on January 3 by agents of the Security and Information Agency (BIA). His detention was carried out due to the fact that he apologized for Serbian crimes against ethnic Albanians during the Kosovo War of Independence in 1998-99. There is no word yet on the condition of the Republican Party leader. /BGNES
