"We are now going to the Assembly to bring back military service. I think on Friday (20 September) we will have a cabinet meeting to pass this bill to amend the law. We have invited the country's president, Aleksandar Vucic, as commander-in-chief, to attend as the subject is within his constitutional competence," he said.
Vucevic confirmed that the military service will last 75 days, "which does not interfere with life, education, study, work; moms and dads will be inwardly grateful because the army will prepare their sons even better for life, so they can grow even older as men."
"It's a challenge for the military to prepare training in this short time frame because it used to be much longer. We are preparing barracks, uniforms to make it interesting for them," Vucevic added.
He said that young men who graduated in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering will be engaged to do military service, for example, at the country's Military Technical Institute, to use their knowledge immediately. | BGNES
