The total reserves of the Turkish Central Bank increased slightly and reached a new record level.
The bank's reserves stood at 153.9 billion US dollars, compared with 153.8 billion US dollars a week earlier, data from the Central Bank of Turkey showed. The latest increase confirms the positive trend for the monetary authority that has been observed since the local elections in March this year.
As of July 19, the central bank's gross foreign exchange reserves rose by $350 million, from $94.35 billion to $94.7 billion, the data showed.
