This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian state agencies reported.
During the President's meeting with the winners of the "Leaders of Russia" competition, Vladislav Vakhnin, head of the department of potential management and integrated modeling at the Russian energy giant, talked about his work.
In turn, Putin pointed out that Gazprom Neft is a high-tech company and pays great attention to the implementation of new technologies.
"The company is very promising. The largest taxpayer in Serbia - just for an example. In Serbia, this is the largest taxpayer - the company "Gazprom Neft. They have a nice big cluster there. They develop well, behave in accordance with the law. A company that complies with the law of the host country. They work very efficiently, they do a lot in the field of innovation," said the Russian president.
Gazprom Neft owns a 50 percent stake in the Serbian company NIS (Oil Industry of Serbia), which owns the Pancevo refinery. Among the main shareholders are the government of Serbia (29.87%) and Gazprom (6.15%)./BGNES
