This is what North Macedonian Prime Minister Christian Mickoski said on the occasion of the request of Bulgarian MEP from GERB/EPP Andrey Kovachev that there are possibilities to freeze the membership and remove VMRO-DPMNE from the EPP.
Mickoski believes that Skopje should take care of its national interest and not fall into the trap of the election campaign in Bulgaria. It is a pity that in the absence of a serious vision, projects and strategy, the main topic in Bulgaria is Macedonia and the Macedonian issue.
"I wish them a successful campaign and for the seventh time to elect a stable and political government with which we will be able to build good neighbourly and real relations. This is what is expected from good neighbours and this is why the Treaty of Good Neighbourliness exists," said Mitkoski from the municipality of Stip.
BGNES recalls that Mitkoski's deputy prime minister and North Macedonia's transport minister Aleksandar Nikoloski called Bulgarians miserable and denied the common history between the two countries. For his part, European Council President Charles Michel called on the North Macedonian leadership to fulfil the commitments and agreements made on the road to EU membership. | BGNES
