Members of the European Parliament have demanded an international investigation into "electoral fraud in Serbia", as requested an international investigation into Election Fraud in Serbia, calling on the Member States of the European Union not to accept election results until the process is completed, BGNES reported.
The EP examined the situation in Serbia after the vote and the signals of large -scale manipulation of December 17th. Parliament will vote on a resolution on its first February session (5-8.02).
"The Elections in Serbia, held on December 17, were conducted under unjust conditions following the decisive intervention of President Alexander Vucic and the ruling Serbian Progressive Party," said EU Justice Commissioner Didier Reinders.
Andrey Kovachev of the EPP said: "In Serbia, we observe not only the problems during the election process, but the systematic tingling of the rights of ethnic communities. Serbia should only be evaluated in its affairs, not by well -written laws."
Vladimir Billik, the EP Special Rapporteur for Serbia, said that the public space in Serbia was conquered by personal interests, and that frequent and early elections in Serbia cause stress among people and interfere with the implementation of what is important in Serbia's negotiations for the EU membership.
He added that voters were brought from other places to increase the number of voters in favor of the government on the election. Billchik called for a large -scale investigation of electoral manipulations.
"There is no democracy without honest and free elections. It wasn't like that in Serbia," said Tomash Weitz, a Green Party MP.
Mathage NEMPH from the "Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats" noted that it cannot imagine the future of the European Union without Serbia and its citizens as equal members, but fears that EU membership may not be sincere, strategic and extreme the goal of the Serbian leadership. "
Andreas Shider, a Member of the Social Democrats, reminded that the early vote reports a number of irregularities that have undermined the election process.
"Authorities in Serbia, led by the president, attacked international observers when they publicly exposed their observations," he recalled.
Meanwhile, the main Serbian opposition coalition "Serbia against Violence" is preparing for new protests.
"President Alexander Vucic is only in front of us in Serbia in his chest. However, when he speaks with foreigners, including MEPs, he is lower than poppy," Marinika Tepic, one of the leaders of the coalition, said earlier. /BGNES
