We now have politics and diplomacy that is based on a two-way street. I want us to talk about values, about respect for human rights and to know that if we start it as we were promised in that 2018, in 3, 4, 5 years at most, we will finish this path and we will be a member of the EU."
This was stated by North Macedonian Prime Minister Christian Mickoski ahead of his visit to Brussels, where he will hold a working meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, reports BGNES.
Mitskoksi said that during the meeting Skopje's European integration would be discussed and that he would defend Macedonian national interests.
"We want to present the arguments, we want to convey the frustration that the Macedonian citizens feel because it is great, I would say huge, because more than two and a half decades after we started our path towards the EU, more than a decade and a half after we officially received the first positive report from the European Commission for the start of these negotiations.
