This was stated by Miroslav Lajcak, the EU's special representative for the Western Balkans and the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, at the International Conference for Peace and Sustainable Development in Athens on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the signing of the Prespa Agreement.
"Joint enlargement with all Western Balkan countries is not realistic because all countries are at a different level in the process. It is based on merit and those who make reforms will become members," Lajcak pointed out.
He emphasized that the easiest way for this is regional cooperation.
"We want them to cooperate and come to an agreement, to show that they can work with each other and that they will work with over 30 countries in the EU," the diplomat said. | BGNES
