Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said during a hearing in parliament that the Serbian government's policy on Kosovo is clear and that there would be no recognition or acceptance in the UN of the "so-called Kosovo".
"I would like to refute any allegation that the current Serbian leadership has undertaken anything that is contrary to national and state interests. Our policy is clear and firm, which means that there will be no recognition of Kosovo as an independent state or admission to the UN, because that would mean that they are recognised as a state," Dacic said.
Dacic added that he repeated his thesis due to various manipulations and interpretations.
The Serbian foreign minister noted that Belgrade will only apply those decisions that are in line with its state policy.
"I personally witnessed everything that happened in 2012. Then the negotiations and dialogue were moved to Brussels. The Brussels agreement was signed in good faith to allow the Serbs to have their own institutions in Kosovo. Thanks to the Brussels Agreement, Serbia's EU membership negotiations were opened", Dacic concluded. / BGNES
