"The helicopter fell to the ground after hitting the fourth floor of the hospital during take-off," killing the two pilots, a doctor and an employee on board the machine, Mugla provincial governor Idris Akbiyq said.
"There was intense fog," Akbiyyk said, adding that authorities were investigating the cause of the accident.
The helicopter took off in poor visibility conditions from the roof of the Mugla hospital on its way to Antalya city.
The helicopter then hovered in the fog for several minutes after takeoff before crashing into an empty field next to the hospital it had crashed into, Turkish media reported.
The incident comes less than two weeks after six soldiers died when two helicopters collided during an army exercise in the southwestern Turkish province of Isparta.
At the time, the Ministry of Defence did not specify what the cause of that crash was. | BGNES
