"I intervened in the incident that happened at the airport in Skopje with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani to calm passions and prevent a diplomatic scandal."
This was stated by the Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi, BGNES reported.
On August 1, Macedonian airport security got into a confrontation with Vjosa Osmani while the latter was traveling in transit to Slovenia. Osmani asked for help from Gashi, who immediately sent his personal guard.
According to Gashi, in the end, everything was done right, and if someone crossed the line, they should be held accountable.
"The rule of law becomes meaningless if we are not objective and do not respect our laws and protocols," emphasized the Speaker of the Parliament.
"My commitment was and will be to calm, to unite, not to divide and make incidents," Gashi said. | BGNES
