From March 1, a free labor market between the countries of the "Open Balkans" initiative - Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania - will enter into force, BGNES reported.
Two legally binding protocols were signed today in Skopje.
The director of the North Macedonia Employment Agency, Vedat Osmani, together with his colleagues from Serbia and Albania, completed the two documents on the implementation of the conditions for free access to the labor market. The final technical tests and adjustments in the electronic service systems remain to be implemented.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic earlier confirmed the agreement.
"Last night we had an important meeting with colleagues from Open Balkans. From March 1, the free labor market between Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia should finally come into force. This means a lot to us - creating a labor market of approx. 11 million inhabitants," said Vucic.
"This is great and important news, and I think it will contribute a lot to creating a better business environment for both local and foreign companies, to overcome the problems of missing manpower," added the Serbian president.
Vucic will visit North Macedonia again in the coming days.
The two of them together with Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski will have a meeting with "representatives of the Serbian people" for the feast of "St. Sava".
"In a few days, I will come to the North Macedonia again. A meeting will be held, at which President Stevo Pendarevski and I will address the representatives of the Serbian people," said the Serbian president. /BGNES
