Four Syrians tried to cross the Bulgarian-Romanian border without documents

Four Syrian nationals, who do not have the necessary documents to justify the purpose of their journey, were intercepted by border police near the Giurgiu-Ruse border crossing while travelling by bus, Romanian media reported.

"In the DN 5D zone, near the Giurgiu border crossing, Giurgiu border police stopped a bus travelling on the Bulgaria-Romania route for inspection. After a check in the eDAC application and an analysis of the travel documents, the border police found that the four Syrian citizens travelling on the bus did not have a valid visa or Schengen entry permit, nor the necessary documents to justify the purpose of their journey, as they were only entitled to temporary residence in Bulgaria," the Giurgiu Border Police said in a statement.

In view of these circumstances, the four Syrian nationals were sent back to Bulgarian territory. | BGNES
