Former Macedonian PM Lubcho Georgievski: We did not create a commission for the Bulgarians killed after 1945 in Macedonia

In the past, there were several proposals for the creation of a commission to investigate the number of Bulgarians detained after 1945 in Macedonia, but this commission was never created.
This recognition was made by the former Macedonian Prime Minister Lubcho Georgievski /1998-2002/, BGNES reported.

"For quite some time, a certain Euroscepticism has been observed in Macedonia. But what is the alternative - BRICS? What is our trade exchange with the Arab Emirates? Due to our geographical position, we have very clear Euro-Atlantic integration. 80% of our trade is with Europe," he said. Georgievski in front of the local TV "Thelma".

According to him, "the inclusion of Bulgarians in the Constitution is the last condition" for the country. "What is problematic here - the second condition is good neighborly relations, and these protocols, which are sometimes part and sometimes not part of the negotiation framework," he added.

Georgievski believes that "negotiations should be conducted with the Bulgarian side and this should be neither surprising nor unacceptable". "Let's celebrate 15-20 historical events. Why not celebrate them together? But, now the time has run out. We will have to wait for the next elections. In Macedonia, all the time we are fighting for the Macedonian identity.

The more we fight, the more we lose - demographically, economically, culturally and in the field of sports. We admire foreign music. In the end, let it not turn out that we killed ourselves in the battle to protect the Macedonian identity," said Georgievski. /BGNES
