European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will begin a four-day visit to the Western Balkans, including Kosovo, on October 29, the European Union office in Kosovo announced.
During the visit to the region, in addition to Kosovo, von der Leyen will also visit North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"This will be an occasion to discuss bilateral cooperation and above all to present the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans in more detail to the regional leaders."
According to the press release published by the EU office in Kosovo, von der Leyen will meet the President of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski and Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski.
Later in the day, she will travel to Pristina, where she will meet the President and Prime Minister of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, and Albin Kurti.
On October 31, as reported in the communique, von der Leyen will be in Podgorica, Montenegro.
She will meet with President Jakov Milatović, as well as with the acting Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović.
On the afternoon of the same day, von der Leyen will travel to Belgrade.
There she will meet with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, as well as with Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.
"Finally, on November 1, von der Leyen will meet in Sarajevo with the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She will also meet with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Boryana Christo.
The President of the EC, as reported in the communiqué, will hold press conferences in each country she will visit during the Balkan tour.
The four-day tour of the Western Balkans comes after von der Leyen's meetings in Albania within the framework of the Berlin Process summit. /BGNES
