The European Union ambassador in Skopje, David Geer, called on the future Macedonian government to roll up its sleeves and complete the reforms, BGNES reported.
"What we want to see after the formation of the government is that it rolls up its sleeves and completes the necessary reforms and its commitment to the European path of your country," Gere said during his visit to Struga.
Gere wants to see the formation of a "democratic, strong and stable government as soon as possible".
The European diplomat also commented on yesterday's statement by Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) leader Ali Ahmeti that his party's non-participation in the future government violates the principles of the Ohrid Agreement.
"It is not my job to discuss political events and political statements in the country. What I can say is that there was a large international observation mission at the elections and their preliminary assessment is that the elections were democratic and took place in a peaceful atmosphere," David Geer said. /BGNES
