Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who is on an official visit to Turkey, with an official ceremony, Anatolian News Agency reported.
Cavalrymen met Fico's official vehicle on the street in front of the presidential complex and escorted him to the protocol gate.
Erdogan met the Slovak prime minister at the main entrance of the complex.
After the two took their seats in the ceremony area, the orchestra played the national anthems of the two countries.
The two leaders shook hands on the steps in front of the Turkish and Slovak flags and posed for the press.
Erdogan and Fico, who moved on to bilateral and inter-delegation talks, will give a joint press conference after the signing ceremony. The Turkish president will host an official dinner in honour of Fico. | BGNES
