The contract aims to simplify customs procedures regarding goods transported in transit on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, Anadolu Agency informed.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approved an agreement between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia "On preliminary exchange of data to facilitate customs transit operations within the framework of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project".
The corresponding document, signed by the head of state, was published in the State Gazette (Resmi Gazete).
The agreement between the governments of the three countries was signed on August 18, 2022 in Baku.
The purpose of the agreement is to simplify customs procedures for goods transported in transit on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, which passes through the territory of the three countries./BGNES
